Q&A
- QWhat is the minimum order in terms of number of sequences, and what is the smallest synthesis scale you offer?
- AWe can accept orders starting from one sequence, and we offer synthesis at scales beginning in the nmol range. Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QWhat is the maximum synthesis scale you can support?
- AAt SC-AMSA, we can support up to 2 mg per sequence. If you need larger quantities, we can coordinate within the Sumitomo Chemical Group located in Japan. Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QIs there a limit to the oligo length you can synthesize?
- AWe have demonstrated synthesis capability up to 250mer. For longer sequences, we may be able to propose alternative approaches (e.g., ligation-based methods). Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QWhat types of chemical modifications do you support?
- AWe support a wide range of commonly used chemical modifications, including 2′-O-Methyl (2′-OMe), 2′-Fluoro (2′-F), 2′-O-Methoxyethyl (2′-MOE), Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA), and phosphorothioate (PS) bonds. If you need other modifications, please contact us via the inquiry form.
- QCan you support GMP manufacturing?
- AGMP manufacturing is handled at Sumitomo Chemical’s Japan site (link). Our manufacturing method can be seamlessly scaled up to GMP manufacturing. Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QWhat is the typical lead time?
- AFor in-vivo grade samples, typical lead time is around one month, depending on lab scheduling. Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QIn what form do you ship gRNA?
- AOur standard shipping form is lyophilized (freeze-dried). If requested, we can also ship gRNA as a frozen aqueous solution. Please contact us via the inquiry form for details.
- QHow do you handle confidentiality?
- AWe handle your project details and sequence information under strict confidentiality, and we can execute an NDA when needed.
- QCan you share the analytical results for the sample?
- AYes. We provide an Analytical Data Report (ADR) with delivery. Please contact us via the inquiry form for analytical items.
- QWhat is the difference between TBDMS amidite and PMM amidite?
- APMM amidites typically provide higher coupling efficiency and are well-suited for longer RNA synthesis. In addition, TBDMS-based synthesis can generate more 2′–5′ linkage isomers whereas PMM-based synthesis can largely avoid these.
- QDo you sell PMM amidites or solid supports?
- ANo. We do not sell PMM amidites or solid supports.
